About the Head Oblivion 79
The Oblivion 79 range has proven itself as an easy-handle ski for creative skiers. Designed with Woodcore Twin Tip construction, the Oblivion is developed in collaboration with Cole Richardson.
The Oblivion skis are a great option for advanced/experts and those looking for a fun and creative ride on the mountain. The lightweight and low environmental impact construction core is innovated using poplar wood with recycled PET bottle stringers from the recycled pet-wood core which lies at the heart of the build. A lighter core makes a lighter ski; a lighter ski makes an easier ski. The overall result is that these skis are easier to turn than the heavier, more aggressive models in the range. As such they are perfect for those developing their skills.
The flex is relaxed, however, the use of graphene in the boot section and a full sidewall still gives the necessary stability to enter into the world of performance skiing. Underfoot these skis feature a waist around the 78mm mark; this is a perfect width to handle the vast majority of on-piste snow conditions.
We would recommend the Oblivion 79 skis for those who want to develop a freestyle-focused ride for the whole mountain.
