The term ‘ghost net’ is used to describe discarded fishing nets – often larger trawler nets that have been lost or deliberately cut loose. Ghost nets and lost fishing gear account for an estimated 46% of plastic waste found in our oceans. Waterhaul are a social enterprise at the forefront of intercepting and recycling such plastic waste into practical, everyday designs – especially those that can be returned to use in combatting beach waste.

The Ghost Net Litter Picker is made using 100% recycled plastic from trawl fishing nets for the handle, trigger, and jaw components. The shaft is made from durable recycled aluminium. The recycled components are 100% recycled fishing nets that were recovered and collected by hand directly from the coastline.

The Ghost Net Litter Pickers are practical, rugged, and repairable with a sustainable and fully recyclable design.
